Our Goals
Reduce the Cost of Course Materials
Through partnerships with leading publishers, Randolph Community College negotiates discounted pricing on digital textbooks and courseware.
Ensure Students Have Materials on Day One
Students receive immediate access to required digital materials on the first day of class, helping improve student success and eliminating delays caused by ordering textbooks.
How Randolph Ready Access Works
- Faculty select digital course materials for their course.
- RCC negotiates discounted pricing with the publisher.
- Students enrolled in participating courses automatically receive access to their digital materials through Moodle on the first day of class.
- A Course Materials Fee is charged to the student's account when registering for the course.
- During the add/drop period, students may preview the materials and decide whether to remain enrolled in Randolph Day One Access or opt out.
- Students who opt out will lose access to the digital materials and must obtain required materials independently.
- Students who opt out before the deadline—or who drop the course before census—will receive a refund of the Course Materials Fee.
